09/17/2003 - Added David Stalcup's program Crescent City Classics from 9am-noon Saturdays from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado on KDUR 91.9 and 93.9 FM.

05/22/2003 - Roland's Rockin' Cajun Show on 100.7 FM in Baton Rouge has changed station call letters to now be WYPY.

05/19/2003 - Added Leo Perron's Cajun Hour show from Dallas, Texas on KNON to the stations that broad over the internet on Monday nights from 8pm-9pm. Also added T-Richard's Zydeco program that follows Leo's program from 9pm-10pm on the same station.

05/18/2003 - Clarence (that's me, the webmaster for this site) radio show has expanded from 1 hour to a 2 hour show in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on KBRH 1260 AM on Sundays from 12Noon-2pm. KBRH is the high school station of Baton Rouge High. This program is aired on AM but is not aired over the internet.

03/08/2003 - Clarence (that's me, the webmaster for this site) is now doing a Cajun and Zydeco program in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on KBRH 1260 AM on Sundays from 1pm-2pm. KBRH is the high school station of Baton Rouge High. This program is aired on AM but is not aired over the internet.

02/09/2003 - added the repeat of the program by folklorist Ryan Brasseaux and playwright and documentary filmmaker Erik Charpentier called "The Cajun and Creole Hour" on Lafayette Louisiana radio station KRVS 88.7 FM. The original show airs every Thursday from noon-1pm. The repeat airs every Thursday late night from 1am-2am. The Cajun and Creole Hour is based on the unique premise that the Cajun and Creole world extends beyond South Louisiana; thus allowing the indigenous nature of both Cajun and Creole cultures to influence the global community through its music, its food and its culture.

02/09/2003 - added Marce Lacouture program called "Lacouture Lagniappe" on KRVS 88.1 in Lafayette, Louisiana that airs every Tuesday afternoon from 1pm-2pm. The program is repeated late Tuesday night from 3am-4am. KRVS broadcasts over the internet.

01/25/2003 - Bayou Joe and Yvonne's show in Ann Arbor, Michigan switched day and time to now be on Wednesdays from 8pm-9pm on radio station WCBN-FM 88.3 FM

01/09/2003 - Dr Romo's Medicine show no longer airs on Poughkeepsie Ny radio station WVKR 91.3 FM

01/09/2003 - The Louisiana format radio programs on WEVL FM90 in Memphis Tennessee are still airing, but they no longer broadcast over the internet.

01/08/2003 - The Cajun and Zydeco shows in Dallas Texas on KNON radio station are still airing, but they no longer broadcast over the internet.

01/08/2003 - Added two cajun shows hosed by Jeff Boggs on New Iberia Louisiana Radio Station KANE 1240 AM on Saturdays from 6am-10am and also on Sundays from 7:30am until 11am. If anyone knows an email for Jeff Boggs please ask him to email me at [email protected] Looking for request number and mailing address also.

01/07/2003 - Mitch Landry has replaced Tee-Mick Abed on the Cajun Fais Do Do radio program on WYNK 101.5 FM in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

01/03/2003 - added low power community access radio station KOCZ FM 103.7 from Opelousas, Louisiana. It is operated by the foundation that sponsors the Plaisance Zydeco Festival. I don't know the times, but I think that they are playing zydeco in the evenings. Website of the owner of the station is www.zydeco.org

9/05/2002 - added Janine Bujalski's program on WPKN 89.5 FM in Bridgeport, CT that airs every 2nd and 4th Fridays from 6am-10am. From 6-8:30am it's a mix of jazz and brazilian music. Between 8:30am and 9am, the music transitions to cajun/zydeco and from 9-10am the music will be cajun/zydeco and other music from Louisiana.

9/05/2002 - added a Zydeco and Blues program on KAYT 88.1 FM in Alexandria, Louisiana that airs Mon-Sat 5pm-9pm.

8/24/2002 - Researching Cullen Washington's zydeco show on KZWA in Lake Charles, Louisiana Is the web site www.kzwa.com still valid? Has the frequency changed from 105.3 FM to 104.9 FM? https://www.ccwproductions.com/radio.htm

8/21/2002 - Removed station KOGT from the list of stations that broadcast over the internet. Although they no longer broadcast over the internet, the Louisiana format program is still airing on AM. The program is "Cajun Cuisine" that plays Cajun, Zydeco and Swamp Pop on radio station KOGT 1600 AM in Orange, Texas. This show airs from noon until 3pm Texas time.

8/17/2002 - Updated the info for the Cajun program by Nonc Charles and Lonnie Sonnier on KKAY 1590 that can be heard in Donaldsonville, White Castle, Gonzales and Baton Rouge. They are still doing the show on Saturdays from 7am-11am. But, they no longer do the 12pm-2pm portion of the show. Also, I added the 225-473-5764 request line.

8/17/2002 - Trying to determine if this program still broadcasts over the internet... the program "Cajun Cuisine" that plays Cajun, Zydeco and Swamp Pop on radio station KOGT 1600 AM in Orange, Texas. This show airs from noon until 3pm Texas time.

07/21/2002 - KPFT 90.1 FM in Houston Texas added a new Zydeco show called Zydeco Pas Sale' on Sundays from 4am - 6am. Hosts are Mary Thomas with Willie and Glenda McQueen. Added this program to the section "internet-3 Sat-Sun". You can listen to their program over the internet early Sunday mornings from 4am - 6am Houston time at KPFT

07/07/2002 - Hosts Todd Ortego and Joe "Dr. FeelGood" Burge" are reviving their "Swamp & Roll" radio show on KBON. It now airs every Thursday from 6pm-9pm on Eunice, Louisiana radio station KBON 101.1 FM. This program previously ran on another radio station for 13 years and was very popular. (The program was shut down on KJJB a couple of years ago when the new owners came in and shut down most of the local programming). Thanks goes out to KBON radio for picking this show up. The "Swamp & Roll" program plays mainly swamp pop and oldies with zydeco and cajun included. Added this program to the section "internet-2 Mon-Fri". You can listen to their program over the internet on Thursdays evenings from 6pm - 9pm Louisiana time at www.kbon.com

06/30/2002 - Sunny Boy Mason's program "Howzit Bayou" that airs on radio station KDHX 88.1 FM in Saint Louis, Mo is now broadcasting over the internet. Added his program to the section "internet-2 Mon-Fri". You can listen over the internet at www.kdhx.org

06/29/2002 - Added radio station KANE AM 1240 located in New Iberia, Louisiana. I don't have any details and they don't have a web site. But, according to the records, "Oldies KANE shifted to oldies-swamp pop-Zydeco-Cajun 4/2002" with the owner listed as Delta Starr Broadcasting. If you can find an email for the management, send it to me and I will try to find out the schedule of the format.

06/29/2002 - Changed the time for Chuck Taggarts program called "Down Home" on radio station KCSN FM 88.5 in Northridge, California. The new time is now on Thursdays from 7pm-9pm. His show airs over the internet at www.kcsn.org

06/09/2002 - Added a new program in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Bayou Joe and "Yvonne (the Sweetest One)" now hosts a program called Michigumbo on WCBN-FM radio station 88.3 FM. The program airs on Sundays from 9pm to 10pm (EDT). It is also available over the internet at www.wcbn.org

06/09/2002 - Changed the time for Kateri Yager's program, Radio Cadjin pour Samedi on radio station WSLA AM 1560 in Slidell, Louisiana to now be on Saturdays from 10am-2pm.

05/21/2002 - Lafayette's public radio, KRVS 88.7 FM, will be moving its antenna to Crowely and adding height to cover Lake Charles as well as Lafayette. (I don't know the date of when this will happen)

05/21/2002 - KBXG 99.5 FM (pronounced KBIG) in Lake Charles, La. added a Cajun / Zydeco / Louisiana music show on Sundays from 9am to 2pm with DJ Dave Soileau.

05/21/2002 - KJEF FM 92.9 no longer has any French programming and station has been sold. The station has been moved to Lake Charles, renamed KHLA 92.9 FM and is now an oldies format station with no French programming.

05/21/2002 - KJEF AM 1290 in Jennings Louisiana is no longer playing any French music. It went from an all Cajun format to an all sports format. (this is why we need to financially support our Cajun and Zydeco programs and radio stations!)

04/01/2002 - Updated the program listings for KLRZ and KLEB from Cutoff / Larose Louisiana

03/15/2002 - "Louisiana Sound" from Traverse City, Michigan airs every Saturday from 12:00pm-2:00pm. It is broadcast live over the internet on WNMC 90.7 FM.

03/15/2002 - Bayou Boogie on WUAL 91.5 FM in Birmingham, Alabama has changed times. The new time is 10pm-11pm Saturday nights.

03/13/2002 - the web site for KVPI radio out of Ville Platte is no longer active.

03/09/2002 - Changed the day and time for the program "Musical Gumbo" aired on WUWF 88.1 FM, Pensacola, Florida. The show now airs every Sunday night from 7:00pm to 8:00 pm.

01/27/2002 - Removed "Howzit Bayou" on KDHX St Louis Mo from the stations that broadcast over the internet. The show still airs on 88.1 FM but the station is not currently broadcasting over the internet.

01/27/2002 - Added program "The Fancy Eatin' Table" with host The Root Doctor on WJSC 90.7 FM located in Johnson, Vermont every Wednesday from 4:30 - 6 PM. The Fancy Eatin' Table serves up a wide variety of American roots music blues, country, conjunto, Cajun, zydeco, rockabilly, and jazz.

01/27/2002 - Modified the times for the Cajun program from radio station KKAY 1590 AM with Charles Guidry to be Saturdays from 7am-11am and noon-2pm. Added the request number to the D.J. mailing list section.

12/31/2001 - "Graton" Gus Gravot now does the Yamland Fais Do-Do program on Thursday nights from 7-11pm on KSLO AM 1230 in Opelousas. Graton's show consists of Cajun music with just a touch of zydeco and swamp pop to spice things up. He has special guests almost every week.

12/08/2001 - Added a new program called Creole Stomp that airs on KZFR 90.1 FM in Chico, California on Wednesday nights from 10pm until midnight. This program is hosted by Dave "Hondo" Hernandez and Mary Ryker.

12/01/2001 - Roland's Cajun and Swamp Pop shows on WXCT 100.7 FM in Baton Rouge has has been changed to a new time. His Cajun program is now on Saturdays from 6am - 8am. His Swamp Pop program is now on Saturdays from 8am - 10am.

11/11/2001 - Texas Fred in Washington DC now has a second Louisiana format program on 89.3 FM WPFW. One is Friday from noon - 1 pm and the other is Friday midnight to 3am early Saturday morning. Updated the section "AM / FM USA-not La.". Since his programs broadcast over the internet, his programs were added to the section "internet-2 Mon-Fri".

11/07/2001 - some changes are going on with the Baton Rouge Louisiana stations WBRH and KBRH. I will update this site as the new format settles down. These are the local non-profit stations that belong to Baton Rouge High School.

11/07/2001 - changed the web address for KLEB and KLRZ in Larose / Houma Louisiana from "www.rajuncajun.com" to now be https://www.klrzfm.com/

09/22/2001 - added Zia's Spontaneous Combuation jazz & blues program that airs on KLSU 91.1 FM in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sundays from 9am - 2pm. Updated the section "AM / FM Louisiana" and the section "shows listed by DJ".

09/22/2001 - changed the date and time of Brian Rollins' program, The Rubboard Review in Portland Maine on WMPG 90.9 FM. His program is now on Thursday nights from 5pm to 7PM eastern time. Updated the section "AM / FM USA-not La.". Since his program broadcast over the internet, his program was added to the section "internet-2 Mon-Fri".

09/15/2001 - added Raoul Breaux's KRVS Blues Box program on Fridays from 9am-1pm on KRVS 88.7 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Updated the "AM/FM Louisiana" section. The show broadcasts over the internet so this show was also added to the section "internet-2 Mon-Fri".

09/11/2001 - added Rod Fuselier's Yamland Fais Do-Do on Tuesday nights from 7pm-11pm on KSLO 1230 AM and KOGM 107.1 FM in Opelousas, Louisiana. Updated the "AM/FM Louisiana" section.

09/09/2001 - Changed the times for Roland Doucet's shows in Baton Rouge, La on WXCT 100.7 FM. His swamp pop show is now on Saturdays from 7am-10am. His Cajun show is now on Sundays from 6am-10am. Updated the "AM/FM Louisiana" section.

08/20/2001 - Added new program from Berea, Ohio on WBWC 88.3FM on Sunday 3-4pm. The show broadcasts over the internet so this show was added to the section "internet-3 Sat/Sun". Also added it to the "am/fm not La" section. Also, updated the section "shows listed by DJ" and the section "D.J. mailing list.

08/20/2001 - Updated the link for "The Pine Grove Blues" which airs on WWUH Hartford, Ct. on Thursdays from 6 - 9 AM. The stations web site relocated to a different web site.

07/28/2001 - Removed "The Zydeco Show" on WRFG Atlanta from the stations that broadcast over the internet. The show still airs on 89.3 FM but the station is not currently broadcasting over the internet.

07/01/2001 - Changed the time for Minister Peabody's show Tobasco in Tucson Az on KXCI 91.3 FM to late night Tueday, early morning Wed 1am-6am. Changed this this show in the section "AM / FM USA-not La." The station is having problems with the internet broadcast, so the show was removed from the internet section.

6/07/2001 - Added KLRZ / KLEB radio station out of Larose, (Cutoff, Houma) South Louisiana to the stations that broadcast over the internet. KLRZ 100.3 FM and KLEB 1600 AM are both owned by the same owners and originate out of Louisiana close to the bottom of the Mississippi river. They are new to broadcasting over the internet. It looks like they are carrying the FM station's format over the internet instead of the AM sister station. Some of the programs are the same on both stations. The FM tends to be a little bit more swamp and contemporary and the AM tends to be a little bit more French. This station has been a favorite of mine when we go shrimping in the Houma Louisiana area. Added KLRZ to to the section "AM / FM Louisiana", the section "internet 2 Mon-Fri" and also to the section "internet 3 Sat-Sun".

5/22/2001 - Added Chuck Taggart's show from Los Angeles, California on KCSN 88.5 FM to the stations that broad over the internet on Saturday afternoons from 3pm-5pm. Added this show to the section "AM / FM USA-not La." and also to the section "internet 3 Sat-Sun".

5/06/2001 - Added Leo Perron's Cajun Hour show from Dallas, Texas on KNON to the stations that broad over the internet on Monday nights from 8pm-9pm. Also added T-Richard's Zydeco program that follows Leo's program from 9pm-10pm on the same station.

4/22/2001 - KRVS lost its translator in Lake Charles, Louisiana on 90.5 FM. A religious station took over the frequency. KRVS still broadcasts from Lafayette, Louisiana on 88.7 and it still broadcasts over the internet. KRVS originates from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

4/09/2001 - Changed the internet address for KRVS to "www.krvs.org"
KRVS is broadcast from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

3/30/2001 - received an email from KEUN in Eunice, Louisiana. They are having problems with the internet company that they were using to broadcast over the internet. As a result, www.keunworldwide.com will not be airing over the internet for at least a couple of months. They also said that the plans for KEUN going all Cajun was pushed back again. The latest word is that it may happen around the summer of 2001.

3/12/2001 - added Sean & Lawrence Ardoin's Zydeco program to the stations that air over the internet. Their program is on Saturdays from 6am - 10am in Lake Charles, Louisiana on KVEE 107.5 FM. Added this show to the section "internet 3 Sat-Sun".

2/25/2001 - added the program "Cajun Cuisine" that plays Cajun, Zydeco and Swamp Pop on radio station KOGT 1600 AM in Orange, Texas. This show airs from noon until 3pm Texas time. It also broadcasts over the internet. Added this show to the section "AM / FM USA-not La." and also to the section "internet 3 Sat-Sun".

2/17/2001 - just talked to Dorothy Pitre from the Saturday night Cajun program on KEUN out of Eunice, Louisiana. I added a review of her program in the section "featured radio shows".

2/07/2001 - added the "Front Porch Zydeco" show to the shows that air over the internet. Todd Ortego and Dr. Feelgood are back with their show on www.louisianaradio.com. The show airs from Friday 8pm-10pm and Sunday noon-2pm Louisiana time. Added the "Front Porch Zydeco" show in the "internet 2 Mon-Fri" section and in the "internet 3 Sat-Sun" section.

2/07/2001 - changed the link for Ville Platte Louisiana station KVPI 92.5 FM to point to the station's new web site in the "AM / FM - Louisiana" section.

2/07/2001 - www.bayoubeat.com has a message on its web site saying that it is no longer available. As a result, the bayoubeat programs were removed.

1/30/2001 - The Fred Charlie cajun show is back on KJJB 105.5 FM and KEUN 1490 AM in Eunice, Louisiana on Saturdays from 7am-noon. Added his show to the "AM / FM - Louisiana" section.

1/29/2001 - Added the "Zydeco House Party" on WAPS FM 91.3 in Akron, Ohio the "AM / FM - Louisiana" section. Also since it broadcasts over the internet, it was also added to the "internet 3 Sat-Sun" section. It was also added to the "C/Z DJ mailing list" section. The time of the show is Sat 7pm-8pm.

1/1/2001 - Added a zydeco shows on KJCB 770 AM in Lafayette, Louisiana in the "AM / FM - Louisiana" section. Times of shows are Thur 7-9 PM, Sat 9am-noon, and Sun noon-3pm

12/30/2000 - Added a zydeco show on KNEK 104.7 FM in Lafayette/Washington, Louisiana Sun 10am-noon in the "AM / FM - Louisiana" section

12/28/2000 - Added a cajun show on KEZM 1310 AM in Lake Charles/Sulphur, Louisiana Sat 8am-1pm in the "AM / FM - Louisiana" section

12/27/2000 - Bobby "Da Cajun" Richard switched radio stations in south Lousiana. As a result, his shows are now added on KCIL 107.5 FM in Houma, Louisiana. His Cajun show (Sundays 6am-9am) and his Swamp Pop show (Saturdays 6am-10am) are now added in the "AM / FM - Louisiana" section. (Bobby Richard used to host shows on KQKI)

12/27/2000 - Belinda Mac is now doing the Saturday French programming on KQKI 95.3 FM in Morgan City, Louisiana. As a result, her shows were added the "AM / FM - Louisiana" section. She now has a Cajun show on Saturday from 5am-6, a cajun and swamp pop show on Saturday from 6am-7 and a swamp pop show on Saturdays from 7am-10.

12/27/2000 - Added show "The New Orleans Music Hour" on WLUW 88.7 FM in Chicago IL on Sat noon-1pm in the section "internet 3: Sat-Sun"

12/22/2000 - Added show "Louisiana Gumbo" on WBRH 90.3 FM in Baton Rouge Sat 3pm-4 in the AM / FM - Louisiana section (format: blues, swamp pop, Louisiana)

12/13/2000 - Added "The Gumbo Ya Ya Show" Portland, Oregon on WPSU 1450 AM Wed 6-8pm in the "AM / FM - other states" section

11/25/2000 - Removed www.NetRadio.com "The Zydeco Channel" from the section "internet 4: more internet". Apparently they have discontinued this channel. When you click on that channel from their site, it gives a discontinued message.

11/25/2000 - Removed KVMR 99.3 FM's second transmitter from Sacramento Ca from the section "AM / FM - other states". KVMR is still broadcasting from Nevada City and Auburn California.

11/25/2000 - Added show "Zydeco Radio Show" on WPFW 89.3 FM in Washington DC Fri noon-1pm in the section "internet 2: Mon-Fri" and also in the section "AM / FM - other states" section.

11/25/2000 - Added show "Crescent City Sounds" on WBRH 90.3 FM in Baton Rouge Sat 4pm-6pm in the AM / FM - Louisiana section (New Orleans format)

11/25/2000 - Added show "Louisiana Gumbo" on KBRH 1260 AM in Baton Rouge Sun 2pm-4 in the AM / FM - Louisiana section (format: blues, swamp pop, Louisiana)

11/12/2000 - Added two Saturday morning programs from KPFT 90.1 FM in Houston Texas to the stations that broadcast over the internet. These programs, "Zydeco Dawn" and "Pe-Te's Cajun Bandstand" are now listed in the section "internet 3: Sat-Sun".

10/19/2000 - Added "Louisiana Sounds" Traverse City Michigan 90.7 FM WNMC (C,Z,B,F,S,L) Sat 11am-1pm in the AM / FM - other states section
