Festivals Acadiens in Lafayette, Louisiana Sept 17-19, 2004 The accurate spelling is Festivals Acadiens. (I have seen people spell it as Festival Acadiens, Festival Acadian, Festival Acadienne, Festivals Acadien, Festivals Acadian, Festivals Acadians, Festivals Acadienne an Lafayette and Festivals Acadienne Lafayette Louisiana. It takes place in Parc Girard which people have also spelled Park Girard and Girard Parc and Girard Parc.) Regardless of the spelling, it is the major Cajun Festival in Louisiana and it is always a Bon Temp. This is one of many Lafayette Louisiana festivals. Festivals Acadiens has also been named a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society (STS) a whopping 15 times! STS is a non-profit organization designed to promote tourism to and within the Southeastern United States. Festivals Acadiens September 17-19, 2004 Lafayette, Louisiana Celebrate the rhythm of Cajun life at Festivals Acadiens, held each year the third weekend of September in Lafayette, the heart of French Louisiana. Dance to a traditional Cajun waltz. Two-step to the upbeat rhythms of accordions, fiddles and ti fers (triangles). Step back in time as traditional crafters demonstrate their artistry.
