For another great year, the Mid City Merchants Association will bring to Baton Rouge and its surrounding area one of its biggest events, the White Light Night Art Hop.

Year after year, thousands of people from in and outside of Baton Rouge have jammed participating Mid City businesses to see the latest in art trends, meet the artists and help start the holiday season.

White Light Night - A Night of Art

November 21, 2008 6 PM - 10 PM
In the Mid City Art and Design District

Friday night, Nov. 21, is the Mid City Merchants Association’s annual fall art hop, White Light Night. The 6-10 p.m. event features 32 galleries and businesses in the Mid City Art and Design District who host open houses, display varied local art, and in many cases, throw in food, drink and entertainment. The participants are located along Government Street from South 14th Street to Jefferson Highway and from Claycut Road to Florida Boulevard.

It is a fun-filled evening whether visitors make it a family affair, a date night, a group adventure or a solo outing.

Free transportation in the forms of vans and other group vehicles are available all along the route for “hopping” off and on at various venues.
