White Light Night - A Night of Art

November 18, 2005 6 PM - 10 PM
In the Mid City Art and Design District

For another great year, the Mid City Merchants Association will bring to Baton Rouge and its surrounding area one of its biggest events, the White Light Night Art Hop.

Year after year, thousands of people from in and outside of Baton Rouge have jammed participating Mid City businesses to see the latest in art trends, meet the artists and help start the holiday season.

The lights of Mid City will sparkle this year on Friday, November 18, during the hours of 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. The public is invited to view art in one of more than 25 participating businesses as well as experience an evening of shopping and camaraderie along Government Street from South 12th to Jefferson Highway and from Claycut to Florida Boulevard. Local Mid City restaurants and food service businesses will showcase one or more of their most popular dishes at each of the art hop locations to tantalize a person’s taste buds.

Hop a ride on one of the Gerry Lane shuttle vans, enjoy the novelty of a trolley ride, car pool with friends or stroll down Government from one great art opening to another while enjoying the lights and the excitement of this crisp fall evening.

For further information please call Liz Walker at 924-6437. Names of featured artists at each location as well as promotional photos are available upon request.
