Baton Rouge's Cornfield Maze (cornfield maise) Opens Sept. 15, 2007 and closes Dec. 2, 2007. The Louisiana maze is constructed from a field comprised of nine acres and takes on a Pig theme with Porky the Pig cut in to the corn. It can take over 2 hours to find your way through the maze. The maze is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 5pm to 10pm, Saturdays from 9am to 10pm, and Sundays from 11am to 9pm. Admission: $8.75 (tax included) 12 and older $6.75 (tax included) Ages 5-11 Free Ages 4 and under Haunted Maze/Admission for Haunted Maze: Every weekend in October and the whole week prior to Halloween, the second half of the maze will be haunted. Haunting begins at dusk dark. $10.75 (tax included) 12 and older $8.75 (tax included) Ages 5-11 Free Ages 4 and under Don't be confused about which Maze to go to: There are 2 corn mazes near each other that are operated by different folks. The info on this page is about the much better one. Don't be confused about which one to go to. Both corn mazes are in Port Allen on La.1 located right to each other. The best one to go to is Louisiana Maze (Cajun Country Corn Maze) which is located down the limestone road (Corn Maize Lane) behind the railroad tracks across from the big Poplar Grove Water Tower. SO, if you don’t go down the limestone road and cross over the railroad tracks , “YOU’RE AT THE WRONG MAZE” DIRECTIONS: From I-10 New Bridge over Mississippi River (3.5 miles from new bridge) Exit off of 153 A (Port Allen/Plaquemine) from the new bridge onto La 1 North. You will go through three red lights on La.1. After you go through the third red light you will continue north on La.1. You will cross over an overpass. Once you come down from the overpass, look to your left. You will need to turn left by the BIG EAR OF CORN onto Corn Maize Lane. Travel down Corn Maize Lane a pproximately 1,000 feet. Cross over the railroad tracks. The maze is behind the tracks. From the Airline Hwy Old Bridge over the Mississippi River (1.5 miles from old bridge), take the La.1 South Exit (Port Allen/Plaquemine). You will travel down La.1 South approximately 1.5 miles. You will turn right by the BIG EAR OF CORN onto Corn Maize Lane. Travel down Corn Maize Lane approximately 1,000 feet. Cross over the railroad tracks.
